Contrary to previous reports stating Park Hyo Shin will make a comeback with the release of a new digital single on Sept. 20, a source affiliated with the artist clarified the "Wild Flower" singer is gearing up to launch a full-length album for his return.
"There are no plans for a digital single release. We are working hard on his full-length album," the source said as quoted by Soompi. The upcoming album will be Park's first release under Glove Entertainment and will be his first after he launched "Gift Part 2" in 2010.
According to his new agency, Park is currently filming his music video in Cuba, adding that they are hoping his comeback will happen this Sept. We're aiming to release his album in September, however, as it's a comeback after a long time, we are putting a lot of effort into it, so it's hard to say for sure," Glove Entertainment announced as per Allkpop.
The agency said Park is mainly focus for the upcoming album and planned concert; hence, it is uncertain whether the singer will do broadcast promotions before the album release and the concert.
Park started to create a name in the music industry after making an appearance on KBS TV program "Lee Sora's Propose." His first album titled "Second Story" sold more than 400,000 copies and ranking 15th on 2000 Music Recording Sales.
The 34-year-old singer became even more famous with the release of his second album "Time-Honored Voice" in 2002. His title song "A Good Man" was also a hit as it topped for two consecutive weeks in "Inkigayo" and garnered the main prize in the 17th Golden Disk and Seoul Music Award.
Aside from that, his song "Wild Flower" is still popular two years after it was released. The mega hit was even nominated in MelOn Music Awards for Best Song of the Year and Best Ballad Song of the Year.
