As part of the celebration of their 10th anniversary, BIGBANG is set to stage a series of V.I.P. concerts for their Taiwanese fans from Sept. 9 to 11. On top of that, the boy group is supposedly scheduled for two fan meetings on Sept. 10 until parents allegedly asked to cancel the event.
According to Allkpop, parents are worried their sons and daughters might ditch their classes to attend BIGBANG's fan meetings scheduled at 2:00 pm and 7:00 pm; hence, some of the fans' parents asked for the cancelation of the 2:00 pm fan meeting to avoid school schedule conflict.
With this, Taiwanese event planning organization IMEtw responded to parents' call by canceling the 2:00 pm fan meeting. Aside from that, it also refunded all tickets for the said event.
Amid cancelation reports, BIGBANG's agency YG Entertainment responded to the issue and said, "The extension in Taipei was never officially confirmed, so it would be wrong to call it cancelation."
BIGBANG's concert series titled "2016 BIGBANG MADE V.I.P. TOUR IN TAIPEI & KAOHSIUNG" will take place at the Multipurpose Gymnasium National Taiwan Sport University and at the Kaohsiung Arena, Soompi noted.
The upcoming concert series in Taiwan will be BIGBANG's last show in the country before the members start their mandatory military service. "Fans will regret not being able to get tickets to the BIGBANG concerts in Taiwan," EBC emphasized.
No need to be sad for the boy group's enlistment as they have planned a number of projects and events to celebrate BIGBANG's 10th anniversary with their fans. Some of these include "BIGBANG Made" film, the "A to Z" exhibition and concert tours in South Korea, Japan, Taiwan and Hawaii.
