The arcade version of "Pokken Tournament" continues to release new content on a regular basis and the latest announcement is the Water/Steel type Pokémon Empoleon. The release comes with an introductory trailer that showcases the Pokémon as well as its different moves, fighting with the other characters already available in the game. The character is scheduled to be added on December 15 and no information has been given on a release for the Wii U version.
Supergiant Games recently announced their third game after the acclaimed "Transistor" and "Bastion". "Pyre" is described to be as party based role playing game (RPG) that will have players control a group of exiles wandering a mystical land in hopes of returning to home. Now they have added more information about the game which now includes a multiplayer mode. The versus mode will have two players battle it out with a team of three exiles each. The characters will have their own unique abilities and will be able to do various things in the game.
A recent interview with Michael Pachter who's known to be one of the more controversial voices in the video game industry, has shed more details and possibilities for upcoming releases. These include the new console releases for Sony, Microsoft, and Nintendo as well as upcoming games. One of the topics he talked about was Virtual Reality (VR) and if it could affect the gaming industry moving forward. He mentions that VR gaming will probably be profitable for Sony with the integration of the PlayStation VR (PSVR) with the PlayStation 4. It also comes at a cheaper price which will be the advantage for Sony.
In a recent announcement, it was revealed that the newest project from "Metal Gear" creator Hideo Kojima will be running on the visually powerful Decima Engine. The engine will be used for the open world game "Death Stranding" and is the same engine that is being used for "Horizon Zero Dawn", another game that is still in development. This has caught the attention of many developers as Guerilla Games is known to be one of the companies that have pushed console games in terms of the visual aspect. Many are also excited for Kojima's newest project with his reputation and creative genius.
After the remake of the "Crash Bandicoot" series was announced during E3 2016, developer Naughty Dog has revealed gameplay and levels taken from the first three "Crash Bandicoot" games. The remake, entitled "Crash Bandicoot: N. Sane Trilogy", features the graphical advancements of the PS4 with a wider screen that shows more elements of the game. A lot of the original voice actors have also returned for this newest release. The game features updated character models along with cinematics, though the gameplay itself still features the same mechanics and level designs.
"Gears of War 4" PC and Xbox One players will get the chance to play together in the competitive multiplayer format for the first time this weekend. The weekend trial was created to see how cross-play works competitively and if developer The Coalition should add it in the near future. Cross-play is already available for both platforms but only for cooperative modes such as the Horde and Co-op Campaign. Players have also had the option of cross-play in private versus matches.
Spider-Man PS4 developer Insomniac Games announced that they will be skipping The Game Awards and PlayStation Experience (PSX), not showcasing any new content at the events. This is despite a tweet last October stating plans to reveal new details and gameplay for PSX. According to the report, the developers are still working on various aspects of the game and new details will be released in 2017. The game was revealed last E3 2016 and it features a more experienced Peter Parker, not one based on the upcoming movie "Spider-Man: Homecoming".

In a recent interview with "Pokémon Sun and Moon" producer Junichi Masuda and director Shigeru Ohmori, the duo revealed a many details about the development of the newest 3DS installment to the Pokémon video game series. A lot of the graphics, Pokémon, and features were built from the bottom up. They took a lot of risks in giving out new content while taking inspiration from previous popular games. Masuda also mentioned that the success of "Pokémon GO" helped Sun and Moon get some traction, while also improving the popularity of both the card game as well as the television show.
"Mafia III" developer Hangar 13 recently released a trailer to promote the availability of the Family Kick-Back Pack in digital stores. The pack was previously exclusive to players who pre-ordered the game. Three guns and cars come with the pack including a 1938 Submachine Gun, Camo Sniper, and a Gator Shotgun. The cars included with the pack are the Berkley Stallion, Lassiter Leopard, and the Smith Moray. These items can be seen being held by some of the other characters in the game. According to reports, the guns will be available as soon as Cassandra becomes part of your crew. After she joins, the Arms Dealers can be called to acquire the new guns.
