The super captivating visual effects and the sets of the rapidly growing TV series, Game of Thrones, have impressed everyone and given them all a lot to talk about. The adaptation of the original book series has proved beneficial for the producers after having gained much popularity.
"Games of thrones" is one of the most famous TV shows of the contemporary world and although there are many critical comments about the twisting story, it is quite an enjoyable and interesting indulgence. The show has now gained so much popularity that common people have used some of the phrases from the show and a little girl is now being sued, by the show, for using their dialogues "winter is coming" for a project.
It is astonishing that HBO has actually sent an email to the young girl, threatening to sue her for using this term due to copyrights. This is exactly how famous, the phrase "winter is coming" has become. According to DailyMail, Felicity Wilcox, the 13-year-old autistic girl from Mansfield in Nottinghamshire had used the phrase in her art work which she submitted for an art competition. She had received an email from HBO warning her that she would face legal action, for copyright issues, unless she removed the phrase from her work.
The girl's father has been disturbed with HBO for this reason and has openly stated that they should be bothered about bigger things than a little girl using their phrases in art projects. Mr Wilcox's statements have been powerful and full of anger towards the company for taking such a stern action against autistic daughter's art submission.
According to information from WBNews, Felicity Wilcox had sent her art work to a website Redbubble for an art competition. They had received a notice because of infringement which said that they would be sued by the US TV giants. The website later posted Felicity's work without the slogan as a fear against lawsuits. The phrase is honestly such a widely used motto from the Game of Thrones that copyright should not be an issue towards the artwork of a child.
