Taika Waititi recently shared a behind-the-scenes photo for "Thor: Ragnarok," which shows Chris Hemsworth deep in thought. Waititi made the shot appear hilarious with the funny hashtags he used as captions.
Hemsworth's Thor seems intent on listening to a conversation with a person not included in the photo. The shot, which Waititi shared on his Instagram, shows the Australian star looking pensive with both his hands clasped to his chin. He has his head turned to the site, as if looking at someone or something to his left.
There is nothing really funny about Hemsworth's pose in the photo. However, the hashtags Waititi used as captions made the image hilarious. The "Thor: Ragnarok" director added the words "GourdofThunder," "DeepinThort" and "ForAsgourd" to name a few.
Of course, Waititi made sure to add a little pun to the image using the huge pumpkin and gourds on the table. The pumpkins made it look like Thor is preparing for a feast in Asgard.
Regardless, according to Cinema Blend the photo also teased a bit of spoiler for "Thor: Ragnarok." Outside of the gourds, the photo showed what could be a new weapon for the God of Thunder. On Hemsworth's right side is a large pole with an axe attached to the tip.
It is unclear what Waititi is trying to tell in this behind-the-scenes photo for "Thor: Ragnarok." Perhaps the director only wanted to show some of the props used in the film, specifically for the Asgard setting.
Meanwhile, Entertainment Weekly recently revealed the synopsis for the sequel. In "Thor: Ragnarok" the God of Thunder is imprisoned in another universe without his hammer. Thor must get back to Asgard fast if he wants to save his home from destruction, led by the villain Hela (Cate Blanchett). However, he must first battle Hulk (Mark Ruffalo) in a gladiatorial contest.
