Xbox Live Gold members once again have goodies waiting for them next month, and this includes the yet unreleased game "Earthlock: Festival of Magic." They can also look forward the other three free Xbox Games with Gold for September 2016, namely "Assassin's Creed Chronicles: China," "Forza Horizon" and "Mirror's Edge."
As recently announced by Major Nelson, Xbox 360 owners who subscribe to the Xbox Live Gold program can get "Forza Horizon" any time from Sept. 1 to 15. Normally priced at $19.99, this racing game developed by Playground Games is the fifth game in the "Forza" series. It is set in Colorado during the fictitious street racing Horizon Festival event and features more than 300 cars.
Then, gamers can download "Mirror's Edge." This carries a price tag of $14.99, but it's free from Sept. 16 to 30. Developed by EA DICE, this action-adventure first-person game lets players take on the role of Faith, who is up against a totalitarian government.
Gamers who use Xbox One can also play those two games via Backward Compatibility. Moreover, they can own two more free games this September.
"Earthlock: Festival of Magic" will be free to download from Sept. 1 to 30. This single-player role-playing game was developed by Snowcastle Games and will be released on Sept. 1. It takes place in the planet Umbra where gamers need to save their uncle from an ancient cult. It costs $29.99.
Then, from Sept. 16 to Oct. 15, they can get "Assassin's Creed Chronicles: China." This one was developed by Climax Studios and published by Ubisoft. Set in China in the year 1526, the female protagonist Shao Jun returns to her country after being trained by an Italian assassin to take her revenge against the Eight Tigers. Its normal price is $9.99.
Xbox One owners who have not yet downloaded the Xbox Games with Gold for August still have time to do so. Last month's post by Major Nelson listed down "Warriors Orochi 3 Ultimate," which is available until the end of August, and "WWE 2K16," available until Sept. 15.
