"Doctors" actor Yoon Kyun Sang had the chance to counter growing rumors linking him to co-star Lee Sung Kyung during his recent interview. On Monday, Yoon candidly said he is not affected with the circulating rumors about his relationship with the co-star.
The 29-year-old actor said he recently learned about the rumors linking him to his co-star and on-screen partner in "Doctors"; however, Yoon revealed he is not bothered because he and Lee are close to each other, Allkpop reported.
Furthermore, Yoon continued talking about his "Doctors" co-star by complementing her acting skills. "She's an actress who is alive and doesn't doll herself up. The emotions that came out in the script Lee Sung Kyung was able to bring about in real life to draw out the image of Jin Seo Woo," he said.
The "Doctors" actor said he and Lee always discuss about the scenes in the drama, while the actress often airs her thoughts about the production. Yoon also thought his on-screen chemistry with Lee is good perhaps because of their closeness.
Meanwhile, the two "Doctors" stars recently staged a free hug event at a children's hospital where they filmed for the drama. According to Soompi, the event came after "Doctors" recorded a viewership of 21.3 percent for their 15th episode.
A source said the actors intended to cheer up the children and their parents through the free hug event. "Since the actors film a lot in hospitals, they wanted to encourage patients who were having a hard time. While the young children were happy to hug the actors, both Lee Sung Kyung and Yoon Kyun Sang shared that they received more energy after seeing the children courageously fight their illnesses," the source revealed.
