People have heard the announcements, watched the trailers and read about it, but now "Pokemon" fans can get to watch the debut episodes of the new series of "Pokemon Generations." As mentioned earlier, the first two episodes are released for free-to-watch in YouTube.
The first episode, "The Adventure," reflects on the essence of the entire "Pokemon" franchise, with elements of the first generation games set in the Kanto region to the latest generation of "Pokemon X" and "Y." According to Polygon, viewers who played the first games may have a "Pokemon Red" and "Blue" nostalgic feeling watching the scenes of the episode. The story follows Pikachu travelling and battling his way from Kanto all the way to Kalos.
With all the nice, cutesy fun in the first episode, the second one puts viewers in the detective-esque mood. Titled "The Cast," the episode will be focusing on one of the characters from the franchise, Detective Looker. The detective is a character from the "Pokemon X" and "Y," whom players meet briefly near the end of the games. The second focuses on him trying to find clues to find Team Rocket syndicate leader, Giovanni. Here, viewers can notice elements of both old generation games fusing with the new ones, despite the episode running for a short while.
IGN further reports that the entire series will be running for 18 episodes until Dec. 23, released weekly. The episodes are three to five minutes each, but still packed with fun and adventure and a lot of nostalgia from the first six generation of "Pokemon" games.
Speaking of generations of "Pokemon" games, the latest ones in the series, "Pokemon Sun" and "Moon" will be released on Nov. 18 worldwide.
