Before Girls' Generation, Red Velvet and The Grace, there was S.E.S who was the first ever girl group formed by SM Entertainment in 1997. And to celebrate their upcoming 20th anniversary, the three members are coming together for a comeback.
S.E.S member Bada took to her Instagram account Monday to announce the good news to their fans, whom they call Friends. "It'll be S.E.S's 20th anniversary next year!!! We're going to make a special time with our forever Friends for our 20th anniversary," she wrote as per Allkpop.
Bada added they were nervous and excited at the same time when the group first thought about coming back to celebrate their 20th anniversary. "Seeing our fans' happy reactions to our news that we will be together again makes me think we're going to prepare even more diligently," the S.E.S member said.
Prior to the announcement, Bada and her co-members Shoo and Eugene met with their SM Entertainment's founder Lee Soo Man, Soompi reported. In an Instagram post of Shoo, the four were seen sharing a sumptuous meal at a restaurant which they consider as their hideout.
"The three sisters met with our father. Revealing this picture with permission from the father. Time has flown by so fast," Shoo captioned the post, adding that being reunited with their "father" felt like looking back in time.

According to Bada, their proposal to make a comeback for the 20th anniversary of S.E.S was well received by Lee. She also said they are still in the planning stage of the big event and asked the fans to wait for further announcements.
S.E.S is considered the first-ever highly successful girl group in the Kpop industry. The three-member group disbanded in 2002 after seven Korean albums and five Japanese albums.
