Sasaeng fans are in the moves again to stalk their favorite idols and this time, they are taking it to the next level.
According to reports, sasaeng fans allegedly installed hidden cameras to stalk EXO in their hotel rooms. Allkpop noted that some EXO members were captured inside the hotel they were staying for a show overseas.
A sasaeng fan reportedly installed hidden cameras inside the hotel's gym, where Suho was spotted working out. However, the EXO member was able to notice the hidden cameras and reported them to a security personnel.
Not only that, sasaeng fans were able to install a hidden camera inside Luhan's hotel room. The former EXO member was even captured while having his makeup done inside the room.
Meanwhile, EXO-Ls are bothered upon seeing the photos and even asked if the police could track down the people behind the hidden cameras. "SM should start taking this seriously, if this bunch of so called fans managed to do such a thing, how can we be sure our boys are so safe from now on?" a commenter posted.
Just recently, SM Entertainment released an official statement to address invasion of privacy issues. Koreaboo noted that the label is stepping up to protect their artists from their aggressive sasaeng fans and haters.
The decision was made after SM Entertainment reportedly received numerous reports for leaked information. Aside from that, some artists are also pressed with false accusations which could damage their reputation.
"We have decided that we should no longer idly sit by and watch this situation, and in the best interest of the artists, we plan to take serious legal action against all invasion of privacy and criminal activities against our artists," the label said in a dispatch.
Prior to SM Entertainment's announcement, EXO's Lay also issued his final warning to sasaeng fans who continue to invade his private life. According to Lay's party, the idol will take the necessary actions to report such incidents to the authorities.
