Take-Two Interactive is a parent company that owns Rockstar Games, 2K Games, and 2K Sports. Recent news revealed that the company has actually filed a new trademark application for something called "Ghost Story."
Game Rant reports that Oct. 6 was the date the trademark was filed in the United States Patent & Trademark Office. There were five different submissions for these filings for "Ghost Story" that cover video games, movies, and even clothing, among other things.
However, it doesn't have to mean anything at the moment. It could refer to a future project or announcement or some sort. Just recently, the company Take-Two Interactive had trademarks for things like "Judas" and "GTA TV", but there hasn't been anything that has ever come from those. Of course, Take-Two hasn't made any remarks on the matter yet.
It still remains to be seen what this project called "Ghost Story" is all about; it could be a new IP or have anything to do with the existing titles of Take-Two Interactive's video games - or even something else entirely. Another venture the company has taken is establishing a division called Double Take which is in charge of producing comic books and graphic novels. But so far there hasn't been any other products released yet.
In other news, Take-Two teased about having a new game from Rockstar Games, which might slated for launch around April next year, according to Gamespot. Rockstar is also planning to develop a mysterious new IP, in which significant details haven't been disclosed yet. Another game the studio is rumored on releasing is the possible Red Dead Redemption sequel or at least something else related like a remaster, a PC version, or something else.
