Capcom has recently released a new wave of information on the upcoming "Resident Evil VII: Biohazard," tackling mostly on the game's different resolutions, HDR, options and virtual reality.
According to Dualshockers, PS4 and Xbox One offer great visuals to allow players to fully immerse in the beautiful yet horrifying environments in these kinds of games. The new generation of the "RE" Engine has that to thank for, putting out the smallest detail to take note of even the smallest of dust particles.
The first person perspective introduced in the main series allows the player to experience dread and paranoia as things linger in the dark corners of the mansion, as well as getting exhilaration from it.
What better to enjoy the complete horror experience than to play with virtual reality? Thankfully, "Resident Evil VII: Biohazard" in the PS4 can be compatible with PlayStation VR, giving players not just the first person experience behind the screen, but his/her entire perspective. The PS4 Pro version with the VR has an even better experience with its enhanced visuals that bring the game close to reality.
The game has versions on both PS4 Pro and Xbox One S, with HDR offered in both and 4K quality only offered on the former. This is great considering that Capcom aims to deliver the "ultimate horror experience" on the newest consoles.
Let's not forget that 4K and HDR features will be available on the Steam and Windows version of "Resident Evil VII: Biohazard." If the game was bought in Windows Store, it can actually share save files with the Xbox One version.
In earlier news, Capcom expects the "Resident Evil 7" to ship around 4 million copies during the company's financial year, becoming a "foundational title" that will have "healthy" sale figures over the next few years.
"Resident Evil VII: Biohazard" is expected to be released January 24, 2017 for the PS4 and Ps4 Pro, Xbox One and Xbox One S, and in digital retail stores for the PC such as Steam and Windows Store.
