"The Flash" will introduce Gypsy aka Cindy Reynolds in an upcoming episode of Season 3.
Following the show's crossover episode with "Supergirl," "Arrow" and "Legends of Tomorrow" that saw the superheroes take down the Dominators, fans of the Scarlet Speedster is up for another exciting storyline later this season. Justice League member, Gypsy, has been reported to arrive on Central City for an arc being linked to Cisco.
"The Flash" star Carlos Valdes recently revealed the scoop on the CW's Fan Feast Q&A (via CBR), while also teasing that Gypsy will play a role in honing his powers as Vibe.
"There's gonna be a new visitor to our world named Gypsy," Valdes said.
"DC Comics fans will be familiar with Gypsy. She's gonna be coming into our world and Vibe will definitely get to learn some new skills as part of getting to know her."
In the DC comics lore, Gypsy and Vibe were introduced in the same issue on 1984's Justice League of America Annual #2. Also known as Cynthia "Cindy" Reynolds, Gypsy joined the Justice League Detroit team formed by Aquaman after the Justice League Satellite was destroyed.
Gypsy's main power is illusion casting, an ability that allows her to blend and adapt rapidly to changing backgrounds and effectively make her invisible. She can also teleport and project unpleasant images to the minds of her enemies.
There's no word yet as to who will portray Gypsy on "The Flash." It's also yet to be known if she will stick around in one or more episodes. But drawing speculation from Valdes' statement, it's likely that "The Flash" fandom will see the character recur - maybe even beyond Season 3.
Behind the scenes, it appears that the show has already began shooting the scenes of Gypsy and Vibe. A tweet shared by the site YVR Shoots feature the superhero characters filming an action-packed episode in Vancouver.

"The Flash" also stars Grant Gustin, Danielle Panabaker, Candice Patton, Keiynan Lonsdale, and Tom Cavanagh. Season 3 will resume in January 2017 after the winter break.
