The Virtual Console has another entry released for the Wii U and it's "Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon." The game has been originally released as a Nintendo DS title in 2009 for North America and 2008 for Japan.
Dualshockers reports that it is the eleventh entry in the Fire Emblem series, but is also a remake of the first game in the series released for the Famicom in Japan. Here's the basic premise of the game:
"Prince Marth and his band of loyal followers are the last hope in freeing Archanea. Alternate turns with the enemy, and shape up your army to suit your strategy by selecting from dozens of units with unique spells, abilities, and weapons. Each unit has its own strategic benefits, so guide them wisely or risk losing them on the battlefield."
"Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon" is available to download from digital stores on the Nintendo Wii U at the cost of $9.99. The game is also available via eShop.
Speaking of eShop, other games have also been available on the Nintendo Wii U. "Metroid: Other M" has been made available to download for the Nintendo Wii U eShop at $19.99.
The game follows the popular intergalactic bounty hunter Samus Aran as she explores a Galactic Federation Battle Ship with her former Galactic Commanding Officer, Adam Malkovich. The game is set between the events of "Super Metroid" and "Metroid Fusion" and was first released for the Nintendo Wii in 2010.
Third party games are also available for the Nintendo Wii U eShop, which include "Teslapunk," a 2D shooter game where the players must defend the earth against Emperor Zangorax, the evil ruler from Mars. Another game worth mentioning available from Nintendo eShop is "Bridge Constructor Playground" where players use their imagination and creative skills to build a variety of bridges and style them according to their desires.
