According to the news from CrunchyRoll, the new trailer is for a short film of 25-minute, that has been divided into 5 parts. The show is set to release on 18 Mar 2017 as a new addition to the Adult Swim Block Toonami on the occasion of completing 20 years of successful running. The short film will be directed by the very famous and prestigious Mamoru Oshii who had earlier directed Ghost in the Shell and Patlabor. The eagerly awaited show has been produced by the company of Production I.G and it stars Hinako Saeki as the protagonist and Yoshikatsu Fujiki as a soldier.
The trailer of the short film by Toonami contains immensely impressive graphics which take us into the world of the film. The details of editing and also the costumes along with the makeup of the characters look as mesmerising as the galaxy itself. The story takes place in a barren desert land with glimpses of fire, lava and the natural inhabitants, the sand whales.
