Harley Quinn Smith recently expressed her interest to play the villain Harley Quinn in "Gotham City Sirens." The young actress offered to play the part, in case filmmakers are looking to cast the younger version of the character.

Smith, the daughter of writer and director Kevin Smith, eagerly expressed her desire to play Harleen Quinzel in a recent interview. She admitted that she already had her sights on the role, even before Warner Bros decided to make a spinoff film out of the "Suicide Squad" character.

"I talked to my agent and I was like, 'Honestly, I know this isn't even a project yet, but I just want you to know that when the day comes that they do start putting this into production I need you to make sure, if there is a young Harley Quinn role, that no one other than Harley Quinn plays that role,'" Comicbook quoted Smith as saying.

Smith recalled that her agent only laughed at her proposal. On the other hand, the young actress also admitted that she would love to play any villain character for that matter. It does not have to be her namesake. She said she wants to play roles opposite from her personality.

Smith pointed out that there are not too many teenage villains in films and series. She admitted that it would be awesome if she could get to play a villainous character, just like Joey King, who played the metahuman Magenta in "The Flash."

It would not be Smith's first foray into movies if she gets cast in "Gotham City Sirens." She already appeared in her father's film "Yoga Hoser." She also appeared in the recent episode of "Supergirl."

Meanwhile, details about "Gotham City Sirens" remain scarce. So far, Margot Robbie has confirmed her involvement as executive producer for the spinoff, according to Screenrant. The film has reportedly also hired Geneva Robertson-Dworet to pen the script.
