South Korean singer Psy is the first foreign artist to make an appearance in all three major Chinese broadcasting networks for China's largest festival. The singer is set to perform in line with the Lunar New Year's festivities.

Psy has already recorded his guest appearances on tape for the special festival. He will be appearing on Dragon TV, LRTV and JSTV that has a combined command of 2.9 billion viewers, as mentioned by his agency YG Entertainment.

On Feb. 6, LRTV will be broadcasting the rapper's latest single "Daddy" and his popular hit song "Gangnam Style." Psy will appear on the channel alongside Taiwanese singer Show Luo and world-class pianist Lang Lang.

On Feb. 8, JSTV will feature the rapper singing "Gangnam Style," as well as "Napal Baji." The latter song is another title track from his seventh studio album which was released in 2015.

The lineup of stars in JSTV also includes Hong Kong singers Leon Lau and Aaron Kwok, as reported by Yonhap News. Psy's performance on Dragon TV, which will be released on the same day, will feature "Daddy" and "Dance Jockey."

After the overwhelming worldwide phenomenon of "Gangnam Style," Psy attempted to come up with another viral sensation to match his previous success. "Gangnam Style" is the most watched video on YouTube with over 2.5 billion views and counting.

In January 2015, Psy's music video titled "Daddy" surpassed 100 million views on YouTube. While it may not be anywhere close to Psy's earlier hit, the garnered hits served as a testament to the enduring popularity of the South Korean star, Kpopstarz reported.

In an interview with K Pop Herald, Psy explained that he felt a lot of pressure after his phenomenon hit "Gangnam Style." The pressure was mainly the reason why it took him nearly two years before he released his new music.

Despite his reservations, the Korean rapper was able to overcome it with the release of his seventh album in November 2015. The video was able to garner 1 million views in just one day, which lead to the current number of over 111 million watches.

"Daddy" also made its way to the Billboard Hot 100 in December 2015. He also defeated some of the biggest K-pop boy bands, including EXO and iKON, for the music show promotion of the hit song.
