Jane will have a new love interest in "Blindspot" Season 2. Jaimie Alexander revealed that her character attempts to build a new relationship going into the second half of the season.
Alexander says Jane/Remi tries to work on her love life and starts seeing someone new in "Blindspot" Season 2. However, the actress did not say who this new love interest is.
"You will see Jane dabble a little bit more in romance," Alexander told TV Guide.
Regardless, Alexander also hinted that Jane does not succeed in building a relationship with this new man. The actress said that she pities the guy in the end.
"But it's kind of like dating a bomb, you know what I mean?" Alexander further told the publication.
The "Thor" star did not reveal any more details about Jane's new love interest in "Blindspot" Season 2. It remains unknown why the relationship does not succeed. Perhaps Jane hesitates to get romantically attached. Likewise, she may still not be over Kurt Weller (Sullivan Stapleton).
The most obvious reason would be that Jane is still harboring romantic feelings for her FBI partner. After all, Kurt made Jane feel secure and cared for. He welcomed her to the FBI and did not make her feel like a terrorist.
Talking about Kurt and Jane's relationship, Alexander declined to confirm whether they become intimate again in "Blindspot" Season 2. However, she also hinted that this could still happen. Alexander teased that Kurt and Jane are working on making their relationship work again.
Regardless, showrunner Martin Gero has since confirmed that Jane and Kurt's friendship blooms again in "Blindspot" Season 2. He told Entertainment Weekly that the partners start to rebuild their trust, which then brings them closer together again. Gero said Kurt and Jane's relationship really flourishes in the second half of the season.
