Hundreds of fans waited for Sunggyu after his performance on "In The Heights" musical show in Seocho District, Seoul. However, many netizens were not pleased upon seeing how the fans blocked the singer-actor from leaving the venue.
According to Koreaboo, eager fans swarmed the INFINITE member after watching his performance on the musical show. Many of them were even captured touching Sunggyu and pulling him by his hoodie.
Other fans also tried to block Sunggyu in attempt to get an autograph from the idol. In a video uploaded online, the INFINITE member was captured mouthing "It's okay" after hearing a fan's apology.
a fan said sorry to gyu (for behaving like this he was being pushed by fans) and sunggyu said "it's okay" and smiled WHY IS SUNGGYU TOO NICE pic.twitter.com/2sTKMngbF6

Despite the situation, Sunggyu managed to keep his cool in front of his fans. But unlike the idol, infuriated netizens slammed the selected fans for allegedly harassing the singer-actor.
"Honestly, this makes me mad, and Sunggyu is always too nice to even show he's annoyed. How can you call yourself a fan if you don't respect your idol?" a commenter said.
Another one posted, "I like that you guys were showing your love towards him but please show it in a better way."
Many of them said the act was uncalled for, criticizing the selected fans for invading the personal space of the INFINITE member. The same thing happened to T.O.P during his enlistment last Thursday.
Allkpop cited fans of the BIGBANG member apparently disobeyed his desire to enter the military quietly. Reports stated T.O.P's fans have put up huge balloons and banners outside Nonsan Training Center to bid their goodbyes to the idol.
Other VIPs slammed the selected group of fans of initiated the act, branding the gesture as "unmannerly" for going against T.O.P's request.
NCT U had the same experience upon their arrival in Thailand last Feb. 6. In fact, a security guard was captured pushing away fans who were eager to get close to the NCT U members.
