Season finale of "The Bachelor" aired March 13 resulted in a surprising twist as Nick Viall proposed to Vanessa Grimaldi. Following the finale, Viall will participate in "Dancing With the Stars" starting next week.
Following the season finale, special episode "The Bachelor: After the Final Rose" was aired, reuniting Viall with another contestant, the runner up Raven Gates, according to ABC News. Gates congratulated Viall on his decision and she tried to stay calm during the conversation.
"I'm happy that you found your happy ending and that you weren't rejected," Gates told him. The host Chris Harrison then asked her of her plan. She said that she is always looking for love, hinting Harrison to ask her to join "Bachelor in Paradise."
After the end of "The Bachelor," Viall will join "Dancing With The Stars," People reported. However, the software sales executive said that he would not want his appearance in the dancing competition to burden their relationship.
Viall will be partnered with professional dancer and the two-time winner of the "Dancing With The Stars" Peta Murgatroyd. In the 24th season, they will compete against other pairs of celebrities and professional dancers whose names have not been revealed. His appearance in "The Bachelor" has escalated his status as the celebrities, as he also acts and becomes a model.
"The Bachelor" reality show is a dating game show that first began in 2002. After 15 years, 21 seasons and several spin-offs, two of the couples are actually married. They are the the couple from season 12 and 17, Jason Mesnick-Melissa Rycroft and Sean Love-Catherine Giudici. While some other couples are still engaged, including Viall and Grimaldi.
Both Viall and Grimaldi expect that their relationship to last long. Especially, Grimaldi has decided to stay in United States and leaving her home country Canada to stay close to Viall following the end of the reality show.
