Renowned talk show host and actor Jerry Doyle passed away at the age of 60, wherein his family reported that he was found unresponsive in his home in Las Vegas. The cause of death has not been identified as the autopsy is still pending. "Babylon 5" creator J. Michael Straczynski paid tribute to the former cast.
Doyle's family took to social media to announce the death of the famous "Babylon 5" actor and radio talk show host. Straczynski, the director of the 1994 show, was saddened by the news. Rappler reported that the director paid tribute to the actor by writing a piece posted in Epic Times. There he revealed how he helped fund the actor's unsuccessful run for congress despite sharing different political opinions.
Meanwhile, "Babylon 5" producer John Copeland also expressed his grief and said that he was glad to have worked with Doyle and become his friend. He recalled how the actor always brought fun and humor to the set.
Known for his role as Michael Garibaldi in "Babylon 5," Doyle became a radio host after appearing in more than 100 episodes in the sci-fi series. His radio show entitled "The Jerry Doyle Show" was more of a political talk show that aired in about 300 markets. Prior to his death, his twitter feed was filled with tweets about his fond memories.
As of date, there is no news about the "Babylon 5" actors' cause of death. Hi family assured his fans that they would share any new information regarding the cause of death and details about his memorial service through twitter/social media.
