"Star Wars: Rogue One" behind the scenes clip reveals an alternate fate for Cassian Andor and K-2SO. The cut thriller footage reportedly had a different scene to that of what can be seen in the movie.

In the theatrical cut of "Rogue One," Rebel droid K-2SO died trying to protect Jyn Erso and Cassian Andor while the two steal the Death Star plans. The film ended with Cassian and Jyn embracing each other as they wait for their certain deaths. In the early versions of the script this is not the case.

In fact, the original script kept most rebels alive at the end of the story which includes Jyn. The new ABC footage shows K-2SO probably dying alongside Andor. In this case, Jyn could have been the lone survivor who may have been able to transmit the plans.

Marvel Comics will release a comic book adaptation of "Rogue One " which may include all other arcs that were cut from the film, Slash Film reported. The comic books will be a six-part miniseries adaptation of the film.

"The comics will definitely expand on what was seen in both Rogue One the film and the novelization," writer Jody Houser said.

Elsewhere, Lucasfilm has finally addressed the speculations that Carrie Fisher's character will be recreated in the series through a CGI. Director Colin Trevorrow and Lucasfilm president Kathleen Kennedy reportedly discussed the matter earlier this week before saying that there are "no plans" to digitally recreate the actress, Screen Rant reported.

"We don't normally respond to fan or press speculation, but there is a rumor circulating that we would like to address. We want to assure our fans that Lucasfilm has no plans to digitally recreate Carrie Fisher's performance as Princess or General Leia Organa," the press release reads.

In the meantime, the crew is still mourning over the loss of an iconic star for the series. The studio is reportedly still trying to figure out the best course of action after Fisher's untimely death.
