The time travel adventures of Wyatt, Lucy and Rufus in "Timeless" are about to end in a shocking way. Executive producers Eric Kripke and Shawn Ryan teased a surprising twist to the Season 1 finale and hinted of a character's demise.
The stakes are even higher in the Season 1 finale of "Timeless" as the trio embarks on a life-challenging mission that directly involves Rittenhouse. According to the producers, Lucy (Abigail Spencer), Wyatt (Matt Lanter) and Rufus (Malcolm Barrett) find themselves as fugitives of Rittenhouse, all thanks to Connor Mason (Paterson Joseph).
"A deadly chess game begins when Rittenhouse exerts their control over Connor Mason, and our team is ultimately forced to become fugitives," Kripke and Ryan told Entertainment Weekly.
Naturally, Rufus, Wyatt and Lucy's lives are at risk. Rittenhouse is a very powerful organization. They can easily have someone killed if that person so much as tampers with their plans. Who becomes the casualty in episode 16, titled "The Red Scare"?
The synopsis for "Timeless" Season 1 finale from Spoilers Guide, revealed that one of the heroes' lives is at stake. The synopsis hinted that Lucy dies, since she makes the ultimate sacrifice to save history.
In the same interview, Kripke and Ryan teased that Lucy, Wyatt, and Rufus become pawns in Rittenhouse's plans. The producers talked about how the trio needs to clear their names, which is synonymous to proving their innocence. Will Lucy, Rufus and Wyatt commit a crime against their will?
The trio clearly has a lot to face in the "Tiimeless" Season 1 finale. They need not only stop Flynn and Rittenhouse, they also need to save history and themselves.
