Flynn wants Wyatt to do something crazy in the midseason of "Timeless." This is what actor Goran Visnjic said when asked what Flynn wants Wyatt to do with the information he received about his wife's killer.
Visnjic, who plays the villain Flynn, revealed his character's motives for telling Wyatt about his wife's killer. Flynn told Wyatt the name of his wife's killer in "Timeless" episode 11.
It may seem like Flynn only kept the end of his bargain, as he promised Wyatt in the midseason finale. However, he actually has an ulterior motive for revealing the truth to Wyatt. Visnjic said his character wants to see Wyatt do something crazy with the new information he received.
Visnjic revealed that Flynn wants to mess with Wyatt (Matt Lanter) for his own agenda. He wants to see the soldier possibly do something unlawful to get his revenge. Of course, this involves going back to the past to stop the murderer or prevent his wife's death.
"His biggest agenda is that he wants to throw a spike in Wyatt's wheel. He knows that Wyatt is not going to go there and kill the guy, so in order to do something, he needs to go back in the past," Visnjic told Entertainment Weekly.
However, how will Wyatt travel to the past without a time machine? Visnjic revealed that the team does not give him the chance to travel on the Oculus by himself in the midseason of "Timeless." There is no way he can use the time machine to exact his plan.
Regardless, fans will soon find out whatever Wyatt plans to do with his killer's wife. Visnjic said that an entire episode in "Timeless" focuses on this.
Meanwhile, the series returns with a new ally for Flynn. According to Spoilers Guide, in "Timeless" episode 12, Flynn meets the outlaw Jesse James. Together they try to escape getting caught by the Marshall, who teamed up with Lucy, Rufus and Wyatt.
