According to CrunchyRoll, "The Promise I Made With You" (Episode 13) announced the adaptation of the visual novel plans to return in January next year, with the "Moon" and "Terra" routes of the story.
The Visual Novel "Rewrite" was developed by Key and is the first from them, with the 16:9 image aspect ratios rather than their previous 4:3 aspect ratio. This had already made the series a special one but now the new development has created a buzz all over the anime world and is looking forward to dig deeper into the mesmerizing world of "Rewrite".
The story of Rewrite initially revolves around the central protagonist Kotarou Tennouji, who is a student from a high school. He lives in Kazamatsuri which according to AnimeNewsNetwork, is a city where civilization and greenery coexist, as the story begins on 2010, on the Moon. Kotarou is a boy who is very interested in the mysteries of Kazamatsuri. The reports, especially of unidentified mysterious animals excite him the most. He ends up spending time with five girls at his school in the Occult Research Society. The game is further based on plots and choices of the player that leads to the climax of the story in the ruined Kazamatsuri.
